Executive Hotel Le Soleil

We arrived before our room was ready and were able to leave our luggage while we explored. The concierge was a great resource, and the hotel offers discounts at some places, including Cycle City bike rental, just a three-minute walk away. Renting bikes was a great way to see the city on its substantial, beautiful bike lanes, often separated from traffic by concrete barriers. The property is beautiful and walkable to Waterfront Station and the cruise terminal, with clean, comfortable rooms and a soaking tub with plenty of hot water. The service is very detail-oriented: they knew we were celebrating a milestone anniversary and brought complimentary champagne and chocolates, a lovely touch. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant, Alouette, was included and excellent. Gilmore Girl fans might enjoy this too, we're pretty sure the general manager is Michel in disguise.

We always find the stay comfortable, and the staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after. My only suggestion is that the menu could use an update, since it feels a bit dated next to the quality of everything else. The hospitality and comfortable atmosphere still make this a great place to stay.

Le Soleil is centrally located, with ferries, the cruise terminal, and SkyTrain all within walking distance. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with good-quality bed linen and L'Occitane toiletries. Breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely come back.

We've stayed here before and loved it, and this visit was even more special: we were picked as guests of the day. They moved us into a stunning penthouse suite and gave us a bottle of lovely red wine and macaroons. We felt so cared for. The hotel, its staff, and the location are hard to beat. Thanks for such a wonderful stay, we'll be back!
