The main issue is the noise and heat in the front bedrooms. They face Granville Street, a busy road that's almost like a freeway, with traffic around the clock. Even with the windows shut, the noise booms through, and earplugs didn't help much. The rooms also face west, so the suite can get uncomfortably hot on a warm day. There's air conditioning, but it's only used at night and doesn't cool the room enough. Unless you can sleep through any noise, I wouldn't recommend Granville House if only the street-facing rooms are available. Inside, the home is lovely and immaculate. Breakfast's crustless quiches were scrumptious, and the staff were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. My suite had a safe that didn't work and windows with broken latches that were extremely difficult to open and close. Since the B&B is a little far from the city center, bus schedules and a Vancouver map in each room would be a useful addition.

The accommodation itself was comfortable, but the host's snide remarks made the atmosphere hostile. I was eating Lebanese takeout at a dining room table instead of bringing it into my room. As the hosts walked by, one said they would need to open a window, implying my food smelled bad. It had no odor, and I was eating in an area meant for meals. Someone also mistakenly thought the host couple was homosexual, and the host replied that it was “not that kind of B&B”.

The breakfast was a delicious way to start the day, and the location made sightseeing fairly easy. I had a lovely stay, with luxurious accommodations.

Randy was such a delight to chat with. The house has a lot of charm, and my room was really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too. I'd happily stay again.

Parking takes a bit of figuring out since you can't leave your car in front of the house, and there are No Parking signs at the back. Apart from that hassle, the hotel was amazing, nice and cozy.
