My room was clean and nice, with two TVs and a balcony I enjoyed. The staff at the front desk were really friendly, and getting to my floor with a key card made the entry feel safe and secure. The location works well for Rogers arena. At $225/night in Saturday, I thought it was a good deal, though the $45 parking charge wasn't included.

The hotel bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for ages, and we had an amazing view. Every staff member went out of their way to make the stay special. We live in the Lower Mainland, but our luxurious 24 hours on Granville Island felt like exploring a new city. We had dinner at Dockside Restaurant and went back for brunch the next morning. Both meals were delicious, with a great menu and a distinctive feel in both the dining room and lounge. We also saw a live performance at Waterfront Theatre, used the hotel's spa and sauna in the morning, then picked up fresh goodies at the market to enjoy at home over the rest of the weekend. The whole experience blew me away, and I can't wait to enjoy another mini getaway in my own city.

I had a really quiet, relaxed stay. My room wasn't waterfront, though maybe I'll upgrade to one next time. I slept with the windows open since they open all the way, and even on the parking lot side there was no noise after 10 until morning.

When our home neighborhood was flooding, the hotel managed to fit us in for an extra day. We love being close to the big Granville Island (farmers) Market, its food stalls, and the restaurants just outside it. We've also always enjoyed breakfast through room service. It's nice to sit by the floor-to-ceiling windows and watch what's happening on False Creek, and the water is hot with plenty of pressure.

For someone flying in for a medical appointment, this was a really good deal. I got a nice discount for two 2 night stay, and there were also two $30 vouchers for the restaurant, which has a first class menu. I picked the hotel because it was within walking distance of my clinic. I'd definitely stay at the Granville Island Boutique Hotel again.
