HI Vancouver Central

I stayed in a four-bed women's dorm, with clean sheets and a clean bed. There were enough bathrooms that I never had to wait, and the shower pressure was good enough. My room was beside the laundry, so I could hear the washers spinning, but earplugs meant it didn't bother me. The location is central and convenient for everything I had planned. Breakfast was simple but filling, with cereal, fruit, mini muffins, pastries, toast, bagels, coffee, tea, and juice. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the place and stay again.

My first hostel stay was a really enjoyable one. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms large, and the staff friendly and accommodating. The lockers are a bit small for backpackers, since our roommates couldn't fit theirs. The location is very convenient, though the streets nearby are dirty and loud. I saw multiple car break-ins and assaults, but staff handled safety concerns well and the facility still felt very secure. It felt like a home away from home.

The location made it easy to walk to nearby places. Just be aware there are a couple of strip clubs on the same street, in case that would bother you. My bunk was fine, the locker was a good size, and the free breakfast was pretty good. The shower was a little small, but the temperature was nice.

The breakfast was generous, and they let you leave your bags after checkout so you can enjoy the rest of the day without carrying them around. The place is clean, both rooms and common areas, and the showers are hot and very private. The downtown location is just right. Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Once my room key didn't work, and a staff member even rode the elevator with me to make sure I got in okay. They offer locks at the front desk and will buy them back for most of what you paid.
