Breakfast was a real highlight: complimentary, made to order with fresh ingredients, served at the table rather than from a basic buffet, and delicious. The staff at the front desk were welcoming, efficient, and helpful with check-in and local tips. The St. Regis Hotel is a charming historic boutique hotel in downtown Vancouver, close to Granville Street, Waterfront Station, Canada Place, Gastown, shops, restaurants, and transit. It’s a convenient base for sightseeing without a car. The old building has squeaky hardwood floors that you notice at night, and the lighting controls were frustrating. To get the bathroom light on, I had to turn on nearly all the lights or use the master setup, which was annoying late at night when I wanted things dim. Even with those quirks, it’s good value for the location, breakfast, and personal service. I’d stay again and recommend it if location matters most.

The only drawback I’d mention is accessibility: the building is over a century old and has just one small elevator shared by staff and guests. Still, I keep thinking fondly of the week my family spent at the St. Regis in Vancouver over New Year. The service was excellent, with friendly, helpful staff, and management chose great people to maintain the hotel’s reputation and quality. It had everything I wanted and more, including a prime location, quality L’occataine bath products, and complimentary breakfast. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to stay again next time I’m in Vancouver.

The breakfast staff, Lind, Suangui, and Anita, were all friendly and helpful, always greeting us with big smiles. Carlos was especially kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and suggested places to eat and visit. It’s lovely to meet people like him, with such a friendly smile. The front desk staff were also attentive and helpful. Thanks to everyone at St. Regis for making our trip memorable. Keep it up!

The complimentary breakfast was huge and really good, and I’m fussy about my eggs. The staff were efficient and friendly. My room had everything I wanted, including a glorious soaker tub, fluffy robes, and lovely Occitane products. An excellent little hotel, nothing but praise from me.

We felt safe and welcome, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, so we didn’t need a car. From the hotel we easily walked to Chinatown, Gastown, Robson, and the waterfront. It’s centrally located, a short walk from Vancouver city centre station or Waterfront Station from the airport, with Granville station right outside. Our king room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold choices served rather than a buffet, and it was quick enough for us to get on with our plans. The staff were lovely. It was our first stay at the St Regis, and a warm welcome at the door in the pouring rain, with a man smiling and opening it for us, made me feel we’d chosen well. We arrived early and they held our luggage without hesitation. We’d definitely stay again.
