These are basically full apartments rather than hotel rooms, and they could work for a budget-friendly family stay or a longer visit with fewer frills. The rooms are very old and worn, though, and the furniture is close to trashed. It didn’t feel dirty, the smell was okay, and most things worked, but it’s all well past its prime. The single-pane windows are drafty and don’t keep out much noise or cold. There are electric baseboard heaters, and the road noise comes through constantly, so bring earplugs. There were druggies outside the hotel, but the rooms felt secure.

The place was dirty throughout: grimy walls, rotten carpet, and even blood on one wall. The air smelled so bad I had to leave the windows open, but they were so grimy I could barely see out. There was dried, stuck-on egg in the microwave, the coffee maker was filthy and unusable, and I killed a cockroach crawling on the TV stand. The pull-out bed was full of springs, and the shower only trickled. There was no heat in the middle of winter. I tried switching on the oven to warm up the unit, but it broke after twenty minutes. None of the building’s heaters worked, so I had to keep getting extra blankets just to make it through the night. Zero stars. This place is disgusting and shouldn’t be rented in its current condition. It’s unsanitary, uncomfortable, and completely neglected. Avoid it at all costs. It’s the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in.

There wasn’t an option for zero stars. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and fortunately we only stayed one night. The sheets were clean, the shower worked well, and the view was amazing. That’s about it. For $179/night, the condition was awful. Windows rattled in the breeze, the bathroom door and paint were delaminating, the heat didn’t work, and the toilet rocked when you sat on it. Its lid came off in your hands when you lifted it. The kitchen drawers were broken, and the windows were so dirty you could hardly see through them. The bed squeaked incredibly, the couch felt scary to sit on, and I was afraid for our lives in the elevator. I understand maintenance and upgrades cost money and take time, but this building is a safety hazard and needs to be torn down or renovated. People are being ripped off.

The location is not worth your health or sanity. Save your money and sleep outside. The manager seemed frustrated when I asked for a refund, even though he knew the room and building were in major disarray. There were cockroaches, broken lights, and an exposed screw sticking out of the fridge door where the handle should be. I could go on all day. The other low reviews are right. This place should be bulldozed. Sadly, the owner or owners either don’t care or actively enjoy screwing people over.

It should have 0 stars. The building is noisy and needs a lot of maintenance, cleaning, and updating. There was no A/C, the door lock wasn’t proper, and the elevator was scary, with no working lights or it wouldn’t pass inspection. I could go on and on. I didn’t sleep all night because I was afraid of bed bugs. Don’t waste $340 per night.
