Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort

What a beautiful city, and apparently the sun came out just for us. The last couple of days have been fantastic. Our room was clean and quiet, and there was always someone smiling at the front desk or concierge to give us a warm welcome. The restaurant was fantastic for the couple of meals we ate there, with smiling staff who were efficient and very kind. We were glad we chose this location. One small disappointment: although our reservation noted a king bed, we ended up with two doubles. Still, I really can't complain.

The pool was lovely, with pleasantly warm water, a heated room so you don't freeze getting out, and a hot tub. Our kids took part in the scavenger hunt and got chocolate and a prize item. As a Titanium Elite member, I was recognized in chat and at the front desk, and we received complimentary breakfast and afternoon access to the lounge. Breakfast had four hot options along with muffins, fruit, juice, and coffee. The room is small, though, and it filled up quickly with no tables available. The location worked well: a short walk across the bridge gets you downtown and to Chinatown, and the marina is also walkable. All the staff were very attentive and nice. We had a pleasant three-night Christmas stay despite the toilet overflowing less than an hour after check-in; it was fixed. We told the staff each day through the app whether we needed housekeeping. We requested it on the second night and got confirmation in the app chat, but the room wasn't cleaned. When I mentioned that at checkout, Charlene gave us credit for two nights of parking. We didn't attend the family cookies and story event at 8 p.m. because we were out then.

We celebrated our baby moon here, and the team surprised us with a lovely welcome. The view is gorgeous, and it's just a short walk to the city's restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. If you're choosing between this hotel and the downtown location, I'd pick Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe. It's probably one of our favourite stays at a Marriott. There's EV charging in the parkade. Parking was worth the cost; off-site parking means a long walk and didn't seem worth the hassle. Thanks, we'll be back. This will be our go-to hotel in Victoria.

As pet parents, we really appreciated being able to relax and know our dog was safe, loved, and thoroughly spoiled. The resort didn't just allow pets, it made ours feel welcome and valued. The room was thoughtfully set up for dogs and worked perfectly for traveling with our furry family member. The staff were paws-itively amazing with our dog. The facilities were immaculate and beautifully kept, luxurious but comfortable, and the views were unforgettable. From start to finish, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and ready to help. Marriott Ocean Pointe Resort is a stunning place with incredible service and next-level pet friendliness. That kind of care is rare, and we deeply appreciated it. We can't wait to come back, paws and all.
