The cottage at Heathergate House was as lovely on my recent visit with three family members as it was when my husband and I stayed there in 1995. We spent five days there, and the fridge and cupboards held more food than the four of us could eat. The cottage was clean, spacious, bright, comfortable, and well appointed. James Bay is a convenient location, close to everything, and Ned and Ann made us feel very welcome. The outside courtyard and garden are beautiful, a perfect place for coffee before sightseeing. I'd recommend Heathergate House to anyone wanting a wonderful visit to Victoria, BC.

Ned and his wife gave us top class service, and the quaint cottage had all the amenities we needed. My husband and I had a wonderful stay, especially making eggs and pancakes with the breakfast supplies. We'd highly recommend this B&B and would definitely return. Thanks for everything!

We walked downtown for dinner on our first evening, and it was close and easy to get to. The hosts were friendly, and the place felt comfortable and attractive. The suite had lots of light from its many windows. We spent each afternoon reading outside in the lovely garden. The bed was comfortable, the shower stayed hot, and breakfast came with a few choices, including fruit and cereal, pancakes, or ham and eggs. We’ll be back.

The fridge was stocked when we arrived, with juice, muffins, eggs, and plenty more included. Service was great, and the rooms have a really cool feel. We had a wonderful time at this cottage. I wouldn’t bother with a hotel!

The owner lives on-site and was so gracious. We also loved sitting in the well-kept garden. It’s very clean, close to the pier, and an easy walk downtown. I absolutely recommend staying here.
