We had to move rooms twice because of the smoke detector. It beeped every few seconds in the first room, then was going off in the second. The hostess tried her best, and the third room’s detector was fine, but all three rooms looked worn out. The place was filthy, the TV didn’t work, and the lampshade was cracked. My wife slept in her clothes, and neither of us used the shower in the morning. A terrible stay. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The woman working in the morning was friendly, and leaving was the best part of the stay. The rest was rough. Our room was dirty, with hair in the bathtub and old soap scum on the dated tiles, and we could hear through the very thin walls. My wife hurt her foot on some hard object we couldn’t identify. The woman at the front desk just called it some kind of hard object and threw it away, without apologizing or seeming to care. The evening staff member seemed like she didn’t want to be there and took as long as possible to check us in. The ice machine was broken, and the front desk staff seemed to spend their time in the pub instead of being at the desk. It felt outdated and poorly cleaned, like the pub and its customers mattered more. Please avoid this place.

The best staff I encountered were on an earlier visit in early November: a kind young woman on a weekday evening and a helpful gentleman in the morning. My family and I stayed here years ago, too, when the place was much better. It’s sad to see how far it’s gone downhill. This time, the staff seemed rude and unsure of their jobs. Management feels like a disaster. Calls go unanswered, and they blame employees for not passing along information, which I doubt. Many staff look like they don’t want to be there, including manager Sahil and assistant manager Emma. Their appearance seems unprofessional, while regular employees dress better. Housekeeping is unacceptable. They make the bed without changing the sheets unless there are obvious stains, and sometimes not even then. I’ve also had concerns about bed bugs, and the pool is often out of service because it isn’t properly maintained. Don’t waste your money. This place isn’t what it used to be.

Sunday, Dec. 28- 10pm. The beds are old and caved in, and the sheets had brown stains and didn’t look washed. On top of that, kids ran and screamed up and down the hallways all night. I asked them to stay in one place, then called the front desk. They said they’d already asked the parents to handle it, but the noise kept going. Other guests next door and across the hall said they’d also called to ask about the hotel’s rules. Why pay over $130 and get no rest? This is a BUSINESS, not a playground. I managed hotels for over 20 years and have never seen a front desk brush off noise complaints like this. Worst experience ever. Go to Comfort Inn or sleep in your vehicle, at least you’d have some peace and quiet.
