We had the bunk bed room, and my sons were so excited about it. Breakfast was perfect for getting the day started, and the rooms were clean. We stayed in July 2025 and couldn’t be happier with our choice. It’s an amazing place in a small town if you’re looking for an experience. The hotel is over 100 years old, so expect creaky doors and smaller rooms. If those aren’t for you, go elsewhere. Highly recommend!

Inside is prettier than it looks from outside. The building is historic and very clean, with a fun, cozy frontier feel. It isn’t as soundproof as a modern place, but its character more than makes up for that. There’s a huge selection of single malt whiskey and a good selection of regional craft beers.

The pub is good, with a great variety of beer and tasty food. I stayed once, and the room was nice. It’s an older building with plenty of character, and they did a great job renovating it.

We ended up adding an extra night to our stay, and we’re already planning another trip. Over our three nights, the hotel hosted a community dinner BBQ for anyone who wanted to join. There was free food, lots of friendly people to talk with, and a sense of community I hadn’t felt in ages. Special thanks to owner Jillian and her team, especially Jen and Grant. The Pub food was great every time, too. And bonus points for the pet friendly patio! The Historic Wells Hotel was spotless, the room was super cute, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I honestly don’t think words can describe how much we loved it. Thanks for such wonderful hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s so peaceful and friendly here, and the food is amazing. Jillian and her staff are awesome. Can’t wait to come back. Sam the hotel cat is great, too.
