Deer Island Inn

I booked late, so the smaller room with two twin beds was the only one I could get. After I slept fitfully the first night, Anke merged the beds to make things more comfortable. The hospitality was excellent throughout my four night stay. I had some rather annoying dietary needs, and Anke handled them wonderfully at breakfast. She even left a special late arrival dinner for me in the kitchen, with instructions to heat it up. I'd uploaded a photo before writing this review, so it's not tied to the review, but if you look through the photos, you'll see the lovely table setting at the small kitchen table, along with the tasty German dinner she left. The Deer Island Inn is charming, and I felt extremely well cared for. I highly recommend staying here. If you go, please say hi to Anke from Ross!

The rooms are cozy, lovely, and clean, and Anke makes a delicious breakfast that's included with your stay. It's much more than a continental breakfast. Anke is lovely inside and out, and we've become good friends. If you need a place to stay, make sure you stay at the end.

The islanders are so welcoming, and Anke is a fantastic hostess. Staying at Deer Island Inn feels like visiting family. I already know where I'll be staying on my next trip to the area.
