Gibbons Life Accommodations

The setting is great, with beautiful views, and the rooms are pleasant with the basics. But there’s no hot tub, gym, or sauna, and the lift takes ages to open and close, sounding an alarm whenever the door shuts. My pans were dirty, and I couldn’t figure out the heating, so the room was cold enough that I wore my outdoor clothes inside. They email you directions to park in the Sundial parking lot, find your spot, and use a code to get in. There’s no trolley, so expect several trips carrying your things, and no reception or staff there to help.

We had a very nice stay, and the location was perfect for lifts, food, and shopping in the central village. The apartments were clean and functional for four adults and two children, and parking and access were straightforward. Management is remote, so there’s no onsite support, which may matter to some people. A few things didn’t work well: the access codes were very long and hard to remember, one bedroom TV didn’t work, and none of us could get the sliding door to lock, though it may have been user error. The storage locker was filled with apartment supplies. The bathroom shower drained slowly; my husband is a plumber and tried the plunger from the cupboard, but couldn’t fix it. We’d been told before booking there was no pool onsite. A neighboring property has one, but we didn’t want to walk between properties, so we didn’t check it out.

Matt and Darcie were really helpful and made sure things went smoothly. We loved condo #405 at Gibbons Life Accommodation’s, especially its central location and amazing mountain views. We’ll be back.

Sam was quick to respond and helpful whenever we had questions. We enjoyed our first-week-of-June stay and would book here again. It has a comfortable, Airbnb-like setup with self check-in and checkout, and you can cook after picking up groceries from stores about 5 or 15 minutes away, depending on which one you choose. It’s centrally located and has some nice discount offers.
