Super 8 by Wyndham Ambassador Bridge Windsor ON

The Super 8 near the Ambassador Bridge was convenient for my visit to see friends who'd just gotten married. My friends could easily come to the hotel, and I enjoyed going to parties and celebrating with them. Coming from Toronto, I had a wonderful stay. The hotel was comfortable and budget-friendly, cheaper than other hotels, which made the trip even better. Highly recommended!

The bedding was great, and I loved having a gas station and coffee shop nearby. Getting into and out of the city from the 401 is easy from this centrally placed, middle-of-the-road hotel. The room price is good for a place with only basic amenities, like no pool or gym. Cleaning and maintenance could be better. The red sofa, bathroom floor, carpet, lamp, refrigerator, and microwave in the pictures make the place feel run down.

The pillows looked absurdly small at first, but they and the mattress were surprisingly comfortable, and we slept really well. The room was clean, the bedding and towels were in good shape, and the bathtub even had new faucets, which you rarely see in this kind of hotel. I also appreciated being able to open the window instead of relying on the ventilation or A/C, and the fridge was quite large. The stay was two nights, and housekeeping never even tried to clean our room. Breakfast ran out fast, too. By the time the last guest came in, only a little cereal and three slices of bread were left. She asked a staff member to refill at least the pancake mix. They checked the fridge, came back with nothing, and walked right past without saying sorry or anything. That was really unprofessional. At 195 CAD a night, that service and behavior are unacceptable. My impression is 3 out of 5.

The breakfast was the worst I've ever seen at a hotel, and the breakfast area was dirty with nobody looking after it. When I asked for more fruit, someone from reception brought it over and put it straight on the table with bare hands instead of using a proper dish. There was also just one plate of cheese, and everyone had to use their own knife to serve themselves. Check-in was a long wait because the person at reception seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The room didn't smell fresh either. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
