Grand Royal Legacy

Under new management, Grand Royal Legacy is making a strong effort to improve the hotel and rebuild its reputation. The team is professional and responsive, and guest safety and security are clearly a focus throughout the property. The fresh renovations have left the rooms clean, modern, and comfortable. It's conveniently located near downtown, hospitals, restaurants, and major routes, making it suitable for short or long stays. I'm very satisfied with the service and can confidently recommend Grand Royal Legacy as a safe, clean, well-managed place to stay in Winnipeg.

We stayed one night, and I would not recommend this place. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows horrible. In the room, the TV, phone, and plugs didn't work. There was no tub plug, soap, shampoo, Kleenex, or even a glass for water. For two people, they left only one hand towel and one bath towel. I asked for more towels and two face cloths, since there were none, but they brought towels folded like in the picture and no face cloths. You can smell bug spray in the hallway by the stairs and in the rooms. When we reported the TV and phone problems, they gave us two bottles of water and said they were renovating and would put up new curtains. The room needs a lot more than curtains. There's also a $250.00 damage deposit. I'm not sure how it could be any worse.

The location worked perfectly while a family member was in the hospital. Our room was quiet and clean, the Wi-Fi was quick, and parking was easy. The staff were kind and understanding. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

We could park our truck without any hassle in the huge lot. The room was quiet, clean, and freshly renovated, and the price felt like great value. Restaurants and other amenities were only a short drive away.
