A standard hotel with standard rooms, clean and comfortable, though the beds are single. Full-length mirrors would be useful. There’s no staff and check-in is self-service. I was lucky that someone was heading inside when I arrived, so I got in and used the screen to check in and make a key card. There are no irons either, and the hotel suggested a local launderette.

The modern hotel has comfortable beds and virtual check-in, but the room was covered in hairs on the floor, to a really disgusting extent. Cleanliness was the main problem, and I would have rated it higher if the service had been better. There’s a coffee machine at reception, but each coffee costs 3 CHF. Since there’s nothing in the rooms, it would feel more welcoming to offer guests at least one coffee for free instead of charging for it too.

The room and bed were fantastic, and the place was much better than we expected. We checked in late and had no WiFi to get into the building, and couldn’t get an answer. Would stay again.

The service was awful. I got locked out of my room, then found the hotel’s main door locked too, so I couldn’t reach the computer that has replaced the receptionist. I called the help line, but they were arrogant and hung up. If you run a hotel virtually without anyone at reception, you need to manage the operation properly. This was lousy service, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone.
