Florin was especially kind and went out of his way to help us. The rest of the staff were great too. The rooms are huge and the location is great, though the hotel feels a bit old. If you want the latest interior design, you might be disappointed.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the bus stopping right outside made getting around easy. For a week of skiing in February, this cosy hotel worked really well. The kids' ski school offered by the hotel was very helpful, and their ski rental partners gave us a discount and picked up the equipment for free after the holiday. The meals were full of flavour and beautifully prepared. We'd definitely come back.

We had a lovely weekend here for a getaway and dog training. There are plenty of hiking routes from the hotel, and the bus to town is convenient. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had a fantastic range of bread, cereal, jams, yogurt and cheeses, and dinner was terrific too. The chandeliers in the breakfast room are beautiful. Small things I'd improve: coffee-making in the room, and soap dispensers in the shower.

We were so happy with our three nights that we booked another stay before leaving. The Alpine Mountain Suite was spotless, the breakfast buffet had lots to choose from, and the restaurant menu kept things interesting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and discreet, which made the service feel just right. With the green Swiss Alps all around and none of the chaos, Golf- and Sporthotel Hof Maran is a great place to unwind with family.

The quiet setting a little outside the village suited us well. You can reach it by car, local bus or on foot, though walking uphill from Arosa takes about 30 minutes. The Arosa Card was a real plus: we used the cable car to the bear park, got discounted admission there, took a pedalo ride and used the local bus. Our suite was bright, spacious, clean, modern and practical, with plenty of storage. The staff were warm and made us feel well cared for, even with our sometimes noisy toddler. Breakfast was lovely, though a visible à la carte menu would have been useful. We also felt the price-to-value balance and dinner menu choices could be better, and would have liked tea and coffee in the room. We were very happy with our stay at Hof Maran.
