We had dinner here over Christmas, and although it was busy, they accommodated us. The service was lovely and attentive, even with our dog. The chef was very kind, and the food was excellent with generous portions. Definitely one of my favorite places in Ascona.

Be sure to book ahead, since the restaurant gets busy, and ask what the specials are. When we visited, the roast chicken with rosemary looked incredible. We ate filet, which was worth every penny, and the veal was amazing too. The chef was so nice, and the staff really care and were very accommodating. In the heart of Ascona, it's become a new favorite of mine. The lanterns give the place a romantic feel, best enjoyed later in the evening. The filet is brought in from the USA and then aged.

The food was fantastic, and the hotel and courtyard are beautiful. Our rooms were very clean and nicely cooled. The staff were exceptional, warm, and forthcoming. I can only recommend it.

We had dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed the food and excellent service. My only wish is that the card reader offered a way to add a tip when paying.

Our street-facing room, number 3, had a balcony and was a little noisy, though it quieted down later at night. It was nice to sit there and watch the street. The room was basic, but the bed was comfortable. The hotel is cute, in a great location, and serves a lovely breakfast. I'll have to try the restaurant for dinner next time.
