The rooms were nice and clean, the staff friendly and professional, and everything else about the stay was perfect. But breakfast really let me down. There was both a professional commercial espresso machine and an automatic coffee machine in service, yet as a hotel guest I couldn't get fresh coffee or choose where to sit. They seated me in the back of the room and offered cheap machine coffee. I emailed the hotel's official contact about it. The reply was generic: they were sorry I didn't like it, but with x hotel rooms and y potential guests they couldn't serve fresh coffee to everyone. If I didn't like the machine coffee, I could pay for a fresh one. Let that sink in. I paid well over 500 franks for three nights including breakfast, yet the hotel said it had no capacity to serve fresh coffee or let me sit by a window in the cafeteria. I felt pushed down the hotel's food chain just for being a regular guest instead of an external cafe visitor. Unless I paid extra, which apparently solved all their bottlenecks. To me, that's an insult to Ticinesi culture and hospitality. Was this the only thing I disliked? Yes. But it significantly degraded the quality of my stay.

The spa was small, but it worked well for a bit of relaxation, and the restaurant dishes are well worth trying. We spent New Year's Eve at the restaurant in Hotel & SPA Internazionale, where the room looked lovely and felt really cozy. Even with the place fully booked, service ran smoothly. The staff were attentive and kind, and the director was there to greet everyone so warmly. A fantastic evening, and we'd definitely come back.

The room was quiet, clean, quite large, and generally good. We got a free upgrade, and the staff were happy to let us check in early. The hotel is right by the train and bus stations, with a short walk into the city center. Staff were also very helpful with suggestions for places to go.

The complimentary spa downstairs has a steam room and Finnish sauna, and the hotel's own restaurant serves lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included and had a nice range of bread, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, sausages, and scrambled eggs. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our medium-sized room was clean and quiet, despite the hotel's spot just across from Bellinzona's main station. The hotel has been renovated in a modern business style, and we had a pleasant stay.

The spa and sauna were a real downside for me. You couldn't simply go in, you had to get permission from reception or something and book a time. Breakfast had plenty of choices for different diets, and the rooms were spacious. It's right across from the train station, near the bus stop and hiking routes, so it's handy for a stopover in Bellizona. It is pretty pricey, though I guess that's Swiss prices.
