The staff were helpful and nice, but the place is old and outdated and needs updating. It didn’t feel worth the money. They advertised a room with air conditioning, but there was no AC, just a room cooler that only worked sometimes. We spent the first night and day without even that, and the owner advised us to open the windows if we needed more air. We stayed three nights with the room cooler making a noise like a Rail engine. We had booked a room with a good view, which they confirmed by email, but got no view at all. Our room faced other buildings.

The room was okay, the shower was good, and the mattress was fine. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, but we served ourselves, and at least they showed us where everything was. If you eat early, you might get a piece of bread. When I lay down, the slatted bed frame fell apart, though I managed to fix it so I could sleep. This would have been a three-star rating, but they tried to raise the price when we left. That’s absolutely not okay.

This was the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. The room looked like a street market area after business and before cleaning. There were stains everywhere, probably pee and sweat, and the sheets looked unchanged from previous uses. Hair and body hair were all over, including under the blanket, and the pillow had sweat stains. The shower was completely unclean, the WC was stained, probably with pee or worse, and the towels smelled bad. Door handles, walls, and buttons were stained and seemed never to have been cleaned. I’d strongly suggest avoiding this nightmare.

The accommodation is modest, but the rooms are clean. It’s close to the city center and Jet d'eau, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Most of them don’t really speak English, though.
