Hotel De Geneve

The elevator was especially handy with our heavy luggage. Our room was clean and had the basic amenities. We had a lovely stay, and the receptionist was exceptionally polite and helpful, making us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Recommended.

I've been staying here for five years and can confidently say it's one of Geneva's more welcoming hotels. The prices are fair for this town, and the reception and cleaning staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are decent, the beds are comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. Recommended.

We parked right across the street, which was very practical: parking was free from 7 PM to 8 AM, then paid for up to 90 minutes. Hôtel de Genève is clean and full of charm, though a little old. Our staff were warm and helpful, and the light French breakfast of coffee, a croissant and orange juice was enough to get the day started. The location worked well for us, just steps from the river, a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town, lake and promenade, and around 20-25 minutes from the Jet d’Eau. We had a very nice, cozy two-night stay and would happily come back. ☕🥐✨

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel has an old-world charm with plenty of books around, though most are in French. Our room was almost clean, and they left three rolls of toilet paper for two people for one night. We only stayed because our flight was cancelled, and the location near the airport and city center worked for us. The area itself was crowded, noisy and not clean. The room was tiny, dark and old, and I felt claustrophobic. Its bathroom was fitted into the room with plastic walls, and the shower was very small.
