Stay KooooK Geneva City – Online Check In

The main problem was the lack of support when something went wrong. Contactless check-in may be fine in theory, but without mobile data in Switzerland there wasn’t a proper backup. We paid CHF 30 through the hotel for parking, but the access key didn’t work. No staff were on site, nobody answered on WhatsApp or by phone, and after 32 minutes on hold the helpline cut us off. We had to spend another CHF 60 on different parking. The place looks good on Instagram, but for the price the stay felt impersonal, uncomfortable, and frustrating. The modern, stylish concept in practice felt more like trendy university halls or a hostel than a proper hotel, very young and communal, with rooms like glass boxes. The see-through glass bathroom offers little privacy, whatever it may look like in photos. The pull-out bed was far too small for two adults, and seemed designed for looks and squeezing people into small spaces over comfort.

I really appreciated getting a complimentary public transport pass for the whole stay. When a browser error stopped me from activating the ticket, the team replied within minutes and sent a replacement straight away. Everything was clean, organized, and just as pictured, which matters a lot to me. The stay exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely come back.

The ninth-floor shared space was a favorite, with games, a pool, and a chess table. The hot shower was excellent, and the room’s futuristic design still felt homey. Everything was perfect for us, and it’s easily the best accommodation we’ve had in Geneva. The place was very clean, right by a tram and supermarket, and only a few stops from the center on tram 14 or 18. CERN and the UN HQ were easy to reach too. The common area was lovely, with a balcony for relaxing or eating outside and plenty of tea and coffee. I only saw apples among the fruit during my stay. Our family suite was comfortable and had what we needed, including a coffee machine and kitchen. The shower was fantastic, and I liked having the toilet in a separate area. Public transport was right outside, with easy routes to the city center and airport. I took off a star because I had to chase them for the confirmation, check-in information, and transport cards, which arrived only a few hours before we got there. We had a lovely three-night stay in Kooook.
