The staff were great and very helpful, and the hotel was clean. The location is good, too. But our room faced the afternoon sun, and the alley outside was extremely loud. It was sweltering, with no air conditioning and barely any airflow, and even the common areas were too hot to relax in. The rooms and hotel feel old, there aren't amenities available, and the restaurant is closed except for a mediocre breakfast. I was greatly disappointed that our travel agent chose this hotel. I have to assume it was because of the price and location.

Quite affordable for a Swiss city. The rooms were comfortable, and we even got a free casino coupon, which was a nice surprise. The location is the real draw, with the church, Coop, lake, and train station all within walking distance.

The rooms seemed fairly new, which was good, but they don't have much in the way of amenities or air conditioning. Opening the windows made it pretty noisy at night. The lobby looked run down, and the hotel staff couldn't seem to multitask.

The location is great, close to everything, but we had problems with the room and service. There was no fridge, which was frustrating because we had to throw away things we bought in Zurich. The hair conditioner was already gone on our first day. When I asked at the desk, the woman said they didn't have mini bottles and it couldn't be refilled until housekeeping came the next day. I don't understand why another staff member couldn't access the extra supplies. Her tone was rude, as if she looked down on me. Maybe it was because I'm brown, though I'm not sure. The WiFi was garbage, too. We followed the website instructions and it didn't work. When I asked, she told me to use my room number and last name. I asked whether the name should be in lowercase or uppercase, and she snapped, “It's last name!” The connection would sometimes work, then disconnect a few minutes later. The beds and amenities were disappointing. I'm writing this while still in this hell hole. I definitely won't stay here again.
