Business Apartments Anstatthotel

For one night at Anstatthotel Luzern, the room was dark and had a strong, unpleasant smell. The bed and blankets weren’t clean, and the room’s condition and hygiene were concerning. It was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it without significant improvements to cleanliness and maintenance.

The location worked well for bus and train connections, but the street was a noisy, busy junction from early morning, even though the hotel photos made it look quiet. Getting in took ages because the app wouldn’t work, and the phone number we had didn’t work either. We eventually reached a room up two flights of stairs, despite having asked for a ground-floor room. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I emailed about it but got no reply. The dryer kept stopping and never got warm, so our washing stayed wet.

The rooms were neat, and it’s a solid place to rest not far from the center. There were very few parking spaces, and the toilet area couldn’t be locked.

The room has kitchen utensils, and they provide room service every three days. There’s also a washing machine, but you need to bring coins, at least 3 francs each time.
