There was a huge party at the hotel from the moment we checked in, and they said guests had been told it would go on until 2 a.m. We hadn’t heard anything about it. When we complained at reception, they offered earplugs. The receptionists were shocked by the photos I showed them and agreed the situation was horrible. They wouldn’t even sleep here themselves. The manager only apologized and offered no compensation, which did nothing to turn a frustrating night into the relaxing weekend we’d planned. The bathroom was extremely run down, with visible mold and dust on the extractor, a filthy shower curtain, and a shower in terrible condition. There was hair around the room and piles of dust in the wardrobe, which I’m allergic to. Bugs were all over the room, and my husband and I were constantly itching. There was no AC during a 30-degree weekend, so the room was unbearable, and the fan they gave us was very noisy and useless. Do not stay here. For a four-star hotel, we ended up in a one-star hostel at the Seeburg, or as I’d call it, SeeBUG. It was awful value for money.

The lake view and quiet atmosphere made the stay feel so special, and the room was clean. The staff were kind and ready to help, and my whole family was happy with everything. I’m so glad I picked Seeburg for my first trip to Switzerland. Thanks for making such great memories with us. 🥰

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the views of the hotel and lake were the real highlight. They looked so unreal, like a painting, until you remembered they were right there in front of you. We stopped by in February, and the weather was wonderfully comfortable too.

The food, service, people, culture, and accommodations have all been fantastic on our first trip to Switzerland. Europe feels different from the United States, so going with a “when in Rome” attitude makes the experience much more enjoyable. Thanks for the hospitality. We’ll definitely come back to this lovely country and hotel for a longer stay.

The dessert was amazing, a traditional Swiss one, please see pictures! The food presentation was lovely too, though my beefsteak tasted a little less flavorful than I’d expected. It wasn’t bad, just a bit underwhelming beside how beautiful it looked. The setting is what makes this place so special. The venue feels authentic and well preserved, with a sense of history, and the views are beautiful and peaceful all day. Service was professional, friendly, and smooth, which made everything comfortable. Shout-out to the Hungarian Lady in service! 🥳 I genuinely enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and would love to visit again soon.
