The one bright spot was the cleaning lady, who was very friendly and had clearly done a good job. The sink was spotless and the bedsheets were fresh. Everything else left a bad impression: the building is ugly, the interior old and filthy, and the place has a creepy feel. The price is outrageous, even for Lucerne. Reception is at Hotel Luzernerhof, but the receptionist didn’t show me where the actual hotel was. There also wasn’t a coffee machine in the room, despite the offer saying there would be one.

There was constant noise from the other rooms and the street. The staff were unfriendly, and the location is right in front of a public toilet. They charge a higher city tax than other hotels in lucern. The room had no facilities, not even cups or a kettle.

It’s a great area, with shops, bus stops, and german schools all around. The Rolex store is maybe an 8 minute walk away. There’s lots of space and not much noise.

Wouldn’t recommend it. The bathroom and toilet are outside the bedroom, and the room is in another building.

Paying 1500 for a room like this is outrageous. There were cigarette butts on the windowsill when we checked in, even though smoking is banned, and the dishes and cooking utensils had not been washed before being put in the cupboard. On top of that, security guards rang in the middle of the night to say we were talking too loudly, and there was no shortage of unfriendly staff. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. If you’re after unnecessary headaches, book a room, but for me it was a one-time experience.
