Hotel de l'Ecluse

We stayed in the new building and would happily return. The room was simple but large, and the price was reasonable. It’s close to downtown, with several parking garages nearby. Although it’s near the road, we weren’t disturbed by noise at night, and the air conditioning worked well. We didn’t try breakfast this time.

The location is ideal, with everything within walking distance. Rooms were comfortable, very clean, and air-conditioned, and breakfast included fresh local produce and bakery items. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

Everything was in order and clean when we arrived, though the photo was taken at the end of the night. The hotel is well located near the center and parking lots. Rooms are furnished nicely but are small, especially the bathroom. The breakfast was very minimal, which was a shame.

The room was small but very clean, with a soft, good-quality bed. I found the bed a bit narrow, though it was fine, perhaps 160-180cm given the room size. There was a little kitchen with a fridge, sink, and stovetop. I didn’t use it, but it would’ve been useful for a longer stay. The shower was fine, but the sink faucet sprayed water as if clogged with lime, or perhaps it was an odd water-saving design. The hotel sits just above the old town of Neuchatêl, which is handy for shopping and dining. The lake is less convenient, but only a 10-minute walk away.
