A young man was there when we arrived and was incredibly helpful, with really good service. The next morning, though, the older woman seemed unhappy in her job. Breakfast was a letdown, and everything was locked up until 6 pm. There wasn’t anywhere on site to get tea or coffee.

I’m sharing this so future travelers know what happened to me. I tried booking through Booking.com three times, but each attempt seemed to fail or never get confirmed, so I booked another hotel nearby. Later, one of those failed attempts showed up as confirmed and charged, leaving me with two bookings. I contacted the hotel, explained that I hadn’t meant to make multiple reservations and had acted in good faith, but they refused to cancel or refund anything. There was no flexibility or understanding, and I felt there was no customer service at all. Mistakes can happen, but the way guests are treated matters. They kept my money rather than show any decency. I think this is unacceptable and a shameful experience. I’ll never return, and I strongly advise others to stay somewhere else. I’d warn anyone booking, especially through Booking.com, to avoid this hotel if they don’t want the risk of paying for a room they didn’t need or use.

The setting was quiet and the mountain view was lovely, and the price was okay. The hotel itself felt very outdated, though. The elevator didn’t work, so we had to carry our heavy bags up to the third floor. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and we fixed it ourselves. Towels were very old, mismatched, wrinkly, rough, and looked dirty. The room smelled musty and was hot, so we had to open the balcony doors to get air. With the wooden divider broken, neighbors could easily walk onto our side of the balcony, and we didn’t feel we had privacy. The hotel advertised a dinner restaurant, but it seemed there wasn’t one. Breakfast was okay, though it could have been better labeled and organized. One coffee machine was broken. The front desk staff were grumpy and unfriendly, and the woman who may have been the owner didn’t seem friendly or accommodating either. I wouldn’t stay again.

The views from our room were excellent, and it stayed nice and quiet overnight. We had a good two-night stop on our euro trip. The staff made us feel welcome, and the food was excellent. Our room was clean and spacious, with a clean bathroom and a hot shower. The beds were great, though just OK. Thanks for a lovely stay.
