The garden adds a lot to this city hotel and makes for a unique experience in the middle of Schaffhausen. It’s a traditional place with a modern feel, and the food was superb. We had a lovely stay with my 8-year-old and my 87-year-old mother. The team stayed up late for us and were gracious about our unusual requests. I’ll definitely come back.

The dinner was delicious, though on the pricey side at CHF 95, and I also appreciated the garden tea leaves. Thanks again to Mr Boss for being so sincere and helpful during our two nights at hotel promenade. We loved the ambience and quiet, just what we were looking for. Mr Boss even helped us find a place for pork knuckle in Germany, which was beyond the job. We were glad to have his guidance on our Swiss journey. GBU.

Our other hotel let us down, so we booked this place at the last minute. It was easy to find, comfortable and reasonably priced, and the breakfast was tasty. Parking on site was free, and the Old Town was within walking distance. We’d definitely stay again.

Beautiful, clean rooms and a lovely, friendly, peaceful atmosphere. The place is run by a wonderful family. Everything is within walking distance, and their nature-friendly garden is lovely for a stroll. Definitely a good place to stay.

The sofa wasn’t very comfortable, partly because its pillows were too low. In the attic room, the beams look nice but can get in the way sometimes. The location and garden are great, the cleanliness is beyond question, and breakfast is adequate. The staff are kind and helpful, and the Wi-Fi works well.
