We stayed three nights at Wysses Rössli Schwyz at the end of May and would happily come back. It's right in the center of charming Schwyz, with a lovely view of the square and Grosser Mythen. The whole hotel was sparkling clean, and it seems to have been updated recently. Our bed had a very good, comfortable mattress, and the bathroom had a nice shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Breakfast had a great range of fresh bread, eggs, meats, yogurts, fruit, cereal, and freshly squeezed juices. Coffee was made fresh to order. We loved eating on the balcony when the weather allowed, and the server was attentive and kind. All the staff were nice and accommodating. The church bells ring regularly in the town center, which might bother light sleepers. I sleep like a rock, so it didn't bother me, but earplugs should help. Like many hotels and homes in the area, there's no AC here. That could be a problem if you're used to cool air conditioning. A fan by an open window would help a lot, so ask the staff if they have one.

The breakfast was excellent, and the renovated room had a very comfortable bed and a nice modern bathroom. The Japanese-style toilet with its water spray cleaning function was a real highlight. The attached restaurant was fine, though less convincing than on earlier visits. My impression of the Wysses Rössli in Schwyz is mixed. The reception was hardly staffed, so don't expect concierge service. They didn't even have an adapter for Swiss sockets, which is inconvenient for international guests. The new rooms and breakfast are definite pluses, but the reception service and declining restaurant quality detract from the stay.

I've stayed in more than 30 hotels for work over the past two months, and this was my best experience in Switzerland 🇨🇭. I loved the room's lighting and view, the very comfortable bed, and the Japanese toilets. I could go on about all the things I liked, but the service stood out most. Sean was incredible with me and my team, treated us like royalty, answered our needs, and helped us find solutions to our problems. Every hotel staff member I met was so nice. It makes me want to come back for a personal trip! 🤗

Our Airbnb booking elsewhere fell through, so we called at the last minute for a room. They accommodated us very quickly, even with our baby. The room and bed were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite being a Saturday. Breakfast was good, and the welcome at reception was warm. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, renovated hotel, which has a beautiful old-world charm. It's on the town plaza, with restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Our English-speaking host was very helpful with tips on parking and local services. We appreciated the range of healthy choices at breakfast. There's a community market in the plaza on Saturday mornings, and the Stoos Ridge funicular is just a 10-minute drive away.
