We left disappointed and unwelcome, and won’t be coming back, which is a shame because the location is beautiful. After a long bike ride, we’d hoped to relax on the restaurant terrace. We sat at an empty table without realizing the restaurant was fully booked. There were several tables unoccupied and no sign explaining the situation; it was later in the afternoon and the lunch rush was clearly over. The waitress scolded us for sitting at a table that hadn’t been cleared instead of politely explaining the reservations. It felt unnecessarily harsh when we simply didn’t know. Nobody came back to tell us whether we could stay, so we eventually left. A simple “Please wait to be seated” sign could have avoided all this. 😞

The team were friendly and helped with all our requests, and the food was delicious. We stopped here with the family for two nights on our way to Italy. The location is fantastic, with a view of Pilatus mountain and a nice, tranquil Swiss Alps atmosphere. We’ll try to stay longer next time.

The chicken was some of the best I’ve ever tasted, the salad was delicious, and the dessert was huge and incredible. We came with a tour and thought the whole restaurant experience was exceptional. The views, location, service, and food were all top notch. I’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

We spent six nights at this hotel in August 2024 and would happily return. The terrace has great views and beautiful sunsets. There’s a small garden at the lakeshore where we enjoyed swimming and the quiet. The restaurant food was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are two boat stations, about 5 and 20 minutes away on foot, which is great for trips to Lucern and Alpnachstad. There’s also a railway to Bürgenstock Resort. I highly recommend the Felsenweg.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and there’s paid parking next to the hotel. The place is near the lake and has a restaurant with some good meals. We managed the narrow path in our big van with 9 people.
