It’s a tidy, clean place with a friendly feel. Getting there is a little tricky, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a large car or feel uneasy on very narrow roads.

The rooms are simple and clean, and we ate plenty of really good food. The hosts are welcoming, open-minded, and helpful. They take nature and using it responsibly seriously, and put that into practice. It’s a great base for hiking, biking, or even a walk. I’d highly recommend it.

Children are welcome at Casa Selva guesthouse, which has a warm, family-like feel. The food is excellent and organic, and there’s a forest school nearby with information about local plants and animals. Set in the woods, it’s a romantic place and a handy starting point for hikes and trips by car, bus, or on foot. Lots of guests come back, so you often see familiar faces.
