The valley views are stunning, and I can see this being a great base for skiing or other mountain adventures. Getting there means driving 10k up a steep road with countless switchbacks and thousands of vertical feet (or meters). I enjoy roads like that, coming from Colorado, USA, though they won't suit everyone. The owner was incredibly accommodating. After my mountain race, she even washed my very muddy clothes, along with taking care of lots of other little things. I really appreciated it. The room was basic and rustic, which might not feel inviting to everyone, but it was fine for me and great value for the price. I meant to give the stay five stars from the start, so I've updated my overall rating.

Those late-night chats with Myriam and Bernard over lovely white wine were a highlight of my three-night stay. A perfect place for a staycation if you want a break from the everyday rush.

For Switzerland, the price is unbeatable. I had a lovely night, with good dinner and breakfast and a relaxed, welcoming feel. The room was nice and had a sink. Toilets and showers were shared, with just one on each floor, and the other one was out of order.

The views from the cozy, warm room were breathtaking, and dinner was great. I also enjoyed the light breakfast before heading out the next morning. After snowboarding at Tele Torgon, the welcoming staff made me feel at home right away. I only wish I'd booked more than one night. I'll be back next time I travel to CH.
