That view when we first arrived was incredible. Check-in was quick, the rooms were good, and I loved the food, especially dinner. There’s a boat that seems to come every few hours, and you can board at the dock to go straight to beautiful Lucerne. I’m not sure how tickets are paid for, though. 8/10, one of my favorite hotels.

We weren’t guests, just waiting for our ferry back to Lucerne, and wanted to check whether we were at the right pier. The reception team let us use the restroom and wait in the lobby since the next ferry was over half an hour away. They even brought us water and shared the WiFi password. The restaurant looks stunning, and the service was outstanding. Such a beautiful hotel. Stay here when you visit.

Getting around was easy because the boat and bus stops are right in front of Campus Hotel Hertenstein, with convenient trips to Old Town Lucerne and elsewhere in Weggis. Public transport gets limited later at night, but the staff were happy to help us find alternatives. We had a beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, and really attentive, friendly staff who made sure we were looked after throughout. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lucerne.

Wolfgang at the restaurant deserves a special thank-you. He was so welcoming and good with guests, and made us feel comfortable and made the stay more memorable. We were here for three nights and loved the friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious breakfast, and marvelous view from our room. I’d stayed at this hotel 11 years ago, and was glad the same quiet, wonderful feeling was still here. The view and overall atmosphere really do feel timeless.

The lake and location are gorgeous, but our visit for an event was really bad. The buffet was cold and not good, the staff were rude, and the furniture was broken and in poor condition. Maybe they figure guests will come anyway because of the setting.
