Hotel Rössli Gourmet & Spa

The location, comfortable bedroom, breakfast, views, and spa were all highlights of our three-night stay. I do wish we'd known in advance that the restaurant would be closed for two nights. There weren't many other options in Weggis during the off season. The restaurant is very fine dining, so it won't suit everyone, and there's no bar. Still, it was a really lovely hotel.

We stayed in the beautifully renovated Tower Junior Suite, with breathtaking views, and had a wonderful night. Franziska's massages were a real highlight, and we were impressed by her expertise. The spa area was lovely, and dinner at the gourmet restaurant was exceptional. From the warm welcome at reception to the service in the spa and restaurant, the hospitality and high standards impressed us throughout. We wholeheartedly recommend the hotel.

Parking was a hassle: there are only a few street spaces, and in our three days I managed to park in front of the hotel just once. The other days, we used the public lot about a 10-minute walk away. The bed was also much too soft for my taste. I sank into it, and I don't think such a soft bed suits more than a small share of hotel guests. The shower had a plastic curtain, which was my only complaint about the spacious bathroom. My wife loved the Dyson hair dryer. We had the largest room, with a small living room, which worked well since we needed to do some work during vacation. It also had automatic curtains, a coffee maker, and a wardrobe. The hotel was spotless, even in places that are often missed, like inside and on top of the wardrobe, the windows, and the balcony. I haven't stayed somewhere this clean in years, 10 out of 10. The hotel is 50 meters from the lake, in a lovely spot for walks, and everyone who helped us was friendly. Breakfast was good, with fresh juices and several choices of cold cuts, yogurt, and more. It was a pleasant surprise on our trip, and we'll visit again.

We came here for the last night of our week in Switzerland. The suite was spacious, with a very comfortable mattress and a beautiful lake view. After all the walking and the long trip, the clean spa was a perfect place to relax. The front desk staff were kind and helpful.
