My Home Hotel

The location made getting around easy, with tram stops just across the street and lots of restaurants nearby. The room was quiet and a decent size, though the view wasn’t anything special and there isn’t much room for lots of luggage. It could use an update, especially new flooring and drapes. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and happy to customize options.

We came from overseas and had a wonderful three-night stay at My home hotel with our family and kid. The staff were polite and cooperative, and helped make check-in and checkout smooth. The rooms were bright, spacious, tidy, and had comfortable beds. We liked the outside view from the room and the hotel’s outdoor areas, including the Teracce, and slept well. Breakfast was a buffet and we enjoyed it. We’d recommend the hotel and stay again.

Most of the receptionists were nice and helpful, but the hotel fell well short of its claimed four-star rating from delta stays. To me it felt like a 1-2 star place, with lots of services that may be done just as poorly as the laundry. I’d have given 2-3 stars if the price had been more reasonable. We stayed three nights over the weekend, $780 for 3 people. The room had a glass bathroom door for some reason, and the shower had no door, just odd glass panels that didn’t stop water from spraying across the floor. There was heavy dust in the corners, and the A/C was very weak. We left one card at the hotel while we were out and set the A/C to its coldest setting all day, just to get the room cooler. Laundry cost $23/person. They washed all the clothes together without separating whites and darker colors, and the washer/drier was very destructive. My fairly new clothes now look like I’d had them for a year or two. I’m very disappointed.

A booking platform error left me with a reservation here. I called the hotel within half an hour, but they wouldn’t be flexible about cancelling. Tripadvisor reviews suggest this happens often, which is a shame.
