The hotel was okay, with small rooms that had what you’d expect and a good breakfast. It’s fairly close to the train station, but the gym was close to useless. There’s a system where you get 5 CHF if your room isn’t cleaned. My colleague went three nights without cleaning and didn’t realize he was supposed to hang a bag on the door. Reception wouldn’t help, even after confirming the room had never been cleaned during his stay. So he had fewer vouchers to use at the bar on our last evening. It’s little things like that which stick with you.

The rooms are quite nice, but the hotel doesn’t quite live up to the five-star impression it seems to aim for. The park is well maintained, though rather boring and drab, and parking wasn’t ideal, so we ended up using a nearby garage. Service was okay, but the friendliness felt forced, and I didn’t really feel welcome or appreciated.

I was there for a few nights for a wedding, and the staff were all super friendly. The service was excellent, my room was perfect with a very comfy bed, and the bar/restaurant was great with really happy staff. My only complaint is that the scrambled egg at breakfast was really bad. Everything else was perfect, 5/5!

Set among parks and close to plenty of museums, this is a nice boutique hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed staying here. I’d definitely recommend it.
