Wi-Fi was almost unusable, both in my room and around reception. The phone number posted on the door couldn't be reached, either. Reception only opens at 3 PM, which was a first for me, and meant waiting if I needed something earlier, like an iron or help with a problem. The one bright spot was the man working breakfast. He was extremely friendly and attentive, and kept checking that everything was alright. Beyond that, I couldn't find much to like.

The staff were the highlight. The two people covering both reception and breakfast were patient, kind, and understanding, just wonderful. We hope to meet more people like them on our travels. Our family, the two of us with our 3-year-old son and large breed dog, fully enjoyed our stay at Work Life Residence. The breakfast was average, just OK, and the room could have used more natural light, though it wasn't too bad. Honestly, it was completely fine. For a place so close to the train station, I'm not sure what more people expect. A good Winterthur option, 4/5.

The rooms were super clean, and the station is only five minutes away. I stayed for four days and rarely feel as welcomed as I did here. The staff went well beyond what they had to do and made me feel at home. 1000% recommended if you want to stay near Winterthur.

There are no on-site facilities for lunch or dinner. The residence was okay and clean, but it didn't meet hotel standards. Rooms were basic and quite noisy, and the artificial air fresheners in the rooms and shared areas gave me concern because they can cause headaches and fatigue. Please remove them. Oxygen is the best air to breathe, not chemical aromas.

Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit and friendly staff. I checked in Sunday night using the key box. The rooms are basic, modern, quiet, and very clean, with no carpet and a coffee machine. All in all, a good experience. I can recommend the hotel and will use it again.
