Villa Jakobsbrunnen

A generous, help-yourself breakfast each morning, with as much as you like, was a lovely touch. The room is in a stylish mansion at roof level, right by the old town, yet the area feels peaceful and calm. There were plenty of amenities too, including towels, a dressing gown, and slippers. A wonderful stay.

The house and grounds are especially picturesque, though it rained throughout my week in Winterthur. I found the location hard to beat, just two minutes from the Stadthaus, concert hall, art museum, and old city. The full kitchen was very well stocked with breakfast food and snacks, so I could start each day fed and happy. Nicole's background in interior design shows in the stylish rooms and shared spaces, a relaxing place to come back to after work. Check-in and access were seamless and high-tech, and the fast wifi was great. Nicole's husband is a techie and serial inventor / entrepreneur. I wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb and hope to stay again on my next trip.
