The location is great, but this isn't really a hotel. It feels more like a student residence, or simply a set of private rooms with bathrooms in an office building, beside a nice hotel where you can get breakfast. There's a restaurant in the building, and in the afternoons and evenings the whole place smells like you're in the middle of the kitchen. The rooms are a good size, but they're simple and old.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a nice attached sunroom or balcony. Breakfast at the Park hotel was good. There's also a swimming pool in the basement, but we didn't try it because it felt too lonely. Residence Zug is more like an apartment annex to the nearby Park hotel. For check-in and check-out, breakfast, and other services, you have to go to the Park hotel, since the Residence has no reception or restaurant of its own. The train station is nearby and walkable. I'd recommend it for work trips if your office is close.

The room is large and perfectly fine to stay in, though there are hardly any electrical outlets. Breakfast is at the neighbouring hotel, which was OK, but inconvenient if you expect everything to be under one roof. Residence Zug isn't a hotel on its own, it's an annex to the neighbouring hotel, with no reception or facilities there. The Hotels.com description is inaccurate. When I arrived, I walked around the building repeatedly trying to find out how to enter. There was no reception or sign telling me to check in next door. A pleasant employee eventually pointed me to the neighbouring hotel, but it took about 40 minutes before I got my keys.
