25hours Hotel Zurich Langstrasse

The rooms were comfortable, and we really liked both the breakfast and the bar. It’s a fun, well-designed hotel with a lively feel. Our only gripe was the noise at night, which seems to depend on where your room is. A solid Zurich stay.

The sauna was the highlight for me, especially the good view. There’s also natural cosmetics among the amenities. The decor is lovely throughout, from check-in to the room signs, and the food and drink choices are great. Breakfast is nice when you want to take your time, and having the minibar included is a plus. But a glass broke during my stay and cut my foot. I expected a thorough clean after that. The hand shower was broken, so the overhead shower was the only option. Housekeeping also doesn’t clean the rooms every day. I saw the same dinner plates left outside the room next to mine on the third floor for two nights, untouched. Street noise on that floor disturbed me as a light sleeper. Independent sex workers at the bar approach guests. I guess the hotel can’t control paying customers who approach people there, but the hotel does need to set some hygiene rules for room cleaning.

Angelius and Luca gave us the warmest welcome, especially Angelius. He was so informative and, as someone who used to be a Front of House Manager in the hotel industry, I can honestly say he’s the best. Maybe he’s an angel in disguise, or his name has rubbed off on him. The hotel and rooms are quirky but very well appointed, with nothing we could fault. We had drinks and nibbles at the bar, and Katya was incredible too. Other hotels should take note.

I’m a fan of exploring 25hours Hotels, and after a few in Germany and the one in Dubai, I’ve now stayed in Zürich too. This one has its own clear identity and lived up to it. The rubber shopping bags were a favorite, such a playful but practical detail. The room had thoughtful touches and lovely indirect lighting, with the creative feel the brand is known for. The staff made everything feel easy and warm. I also liked the location, especially if you enjoy walking between different parts of the city and neighborhoods.
