Boutique & Art Hotel Helvetia

The attic apartment was one of the most unusual and memorable hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. It had so much personality, with art everywhere, and I honestly didn’t want to leave. Looking out at the city at night and seeing the stars through the window felt a little magical. The hotel lives up to its name, quirky in the best way and nothing like a standard hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room spacious, and the staff warm and welcoming the whole time. I was only there one night, but could easily have stayed longer. It has its own character and charm.

The attic apartment worked perfectly for two adults and one child, with a kitchenette and a little extra room. Breakfast was delicious, served in a lovely restaurant, and the staff were fantastic. The location was fantastic too. I had a better experience here than at many 5* hotels. Can’t recommend it enough, and I’ll be happy to return.

On our first visit to Zurich, we found a hotel we’d happily return to. The staff, service, and food were fantastic, and the manager even noticed the flamingo pattern on my wife’s travel pillow and gave us a matching hotel card. One of our nicest stays in Europe. Cheers.

The tram is nearby, and getting to the main station is quick. I also liked the quiet, comfortable room and the normal-sized bathroom with an actual door. The shared areas overlook the river, which would’ve been a lovely place to relax if the weather had been better. I loved staying at helvetia and would come back.
