Hitrental Letzigrund Apartments

The team deserves credit for keeping this place clean, modern, and stocked with what you need. There’s a proper kitchen for cooking, plus a washer and dryer downstairs. The bathrooms are clean, modern, and well lit, and the main train station is relatively close. We stayed in 11 hotels and apartments on our Europe trip, and this was easily among our top two accommodations. I’d already left a review on booking.com, but wanted to share one here too so others might find the place.

A clean, pleasant apartment with the right equipment for a short stay. I couldn’t have found anything better in Zurich. If you’re driving, look into public parking conditions first, since finding a space in Zurich can be quite a challenge.

Quick check-in, and the apartment is close to a bus and tram stop. Still, I’ll look for somewhere better next time. It’s a dated property. The bathroom smells and is so cramped you can barely stand in the bath area. The kitchen is bare too, enough for making tea and not much else, with no dishwasher. There are no automatic lights by the ground-floor entrance gallery or near the lift, which didn’t feel very Swiss.

If value, a practical setup, and easy communication matter more to you than looks, this is a good choice. The apartment was about twice the size of other serviced apartments at the same price. It also has a proper kitchen where you can actually cook, while many other places only offer a kitchenette with a bar fridge. The HITrental team were excellent to deal with, responding promptly to emails. These may not be the most luxurious or modern apartments, but they’re very good value compared with the other options.
