Hotel Hottingen

Room 226 had a nice balcony with a table and two chairs, though it looked only onto the building across the street. The room was on the small side but comfortable, with a cozy bed, a useful air conditioner and a nice bathroom and shower. There was very little space on the small table for making coffee or tea. Handy for tram #3, which can take you pretty much anywhere.

The room had plenty of places to put things, suitcase racks, mirrors and a comfortable bed. It was clean and safe, and relatively close to stadelhoffen, the main area. Nothing special, but I’d recommend staying here a few days to see the city. Parking was kind of inconvenient. To keep it free you have to move the spot every hour, otherwise you can pay 15 francs. There was also some strange graffiti-ish writing on the wall: “1+1=3”. If someone’s going to write an equation on the wall, at least get it right.

The staff were the best part for me, really friendly and helpful. The building looks even better in person than it does in the photos, and it’s modern and in a quiet spot. The city center is close, and the tram stop is just seconds away. I loved it.

The team made the visit such an enjoyable one, and NAIM was especially kind and helpful every time I saw him. The hotel was very comfortable too. Thanks to him and everyone else for a wonderful stay, and please pass my thanks along.
