Montmartre

I happened to walk by and decided to stop in, and I’m glad I did. It’s right in central Zürich but doesn’t feel too crowded, so it’s a relaxed place to catch up with friends, have a drink while waiting for dinner, or just spend an hour. The drinks were great and the waiters welcoming and really friendly. Especially nice on a Friday evening, definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in the loft, a lovely characterful room with a tiny outdoor patio. This little hotel and brasserie is right in the heart of Zurich Old Town. We ate at the brasserie twice and liked the very good food and short, interesting wine list. The staff were super friendly. I highly recommend both the rooms and the dining, a lovely spot.

The beef tartare was the standout of the evening, beautifully presented and seasoned just right, though every dish we tried was delicious. In downtown Zurich, this cozy little restaurant feels like a slice of Paris, intimate, warm, and charming. The staff were welcoming and attentive and made us feel right at home. A lovely place for great food and service. We’ll definitely be back.

The team is what really makes Restaurant Montmartre special. The young staff bring a lot of care and creativity, and the chefs turn fresh ingredients into dishes that look lovely and taste just as good. Service feels warm and attentive without hovering, and the relaxed crowd gives it the feel of sharing a meal with friends. It's tucked into Zurich’s Old Town, with a cozy, intimate atmosphere and a bit of old-world charm. The menu feels thoughtfully put together, and the whole place has its own character. A great stop for locals or visitors, and somewhere I’d gladly return to.
