Moxy Zurich

The location made getting around easy, with a nearby tram stop served by several lines, including 2 and 13. It's on Badenerstrasse, opposite Stadion Letzigrund, and offered good value compared with many hotels in the city centre without being inconvenient. I stayed one night at Moxy Zurich City. The hotel is brand new, so everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. I've stayed at other Moxy properties, and the rooms here felt noticeably larger than usual, which was a pleasant surprise. Check-in was quick, and Sascha at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He offered a welcome drink, too. The bar and restaurant area looked cozy and inviting. I only had a drink, so I didn't try dinner or breakfast, and I left before breakfast started. I'd happily recommend it.

A tram stop right outside made it easy to reach the city centre in about 15-20 minutes. The hotel felt very new in February 2026, with modern facilities and a comfortable atmosphere. Staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional, and my wife especially liked the room design and comfort. As a Gold member, I would have appreciated a potential upgrade, though I understand availability can be limited. It was a very pleasant, high-quality stay.

I visited a friend staying here on Saturday evening, when only two employees were working. They were kind and clearly doing their best to give good service, but were visibly overworked while handling food, drinks, and reception during a very busy period. For a Marriot hotel, I expected more staff, especially on a Saturday night. I'd suggest having more people on duty on weekends.

It's a lovely, very clean hotel, and the staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and check-out. The nearby tram makes it easy to get downtown in about 20 minutes, while staying outside the busy centre. The hallway music was a real problem for us as light sleepers. It played continuously through the night, and when we called the front desk on the first night to ask if it could be turned down, we were told it was hotel policy. We barely slept that night. To the hotel's credit, we didn't hear the music on the second night, so the problem seemed to be resolved, but that first night was still disruptive. I've stayed at many Marriott hotels around the world and never come across this policy. Even if this is normal for this property, the volume should be low enough not to carry into guest rooms. Since a good night's sleep is the main reason to stay in a hotel, I wouldn't recommend it to light sleepers unless they bring earplugs.
