Trip Inn Zurich Hotel

I stayed here in September 2025, and found it a very good choice. The rooms are small but nice, and everything is nearby, including the central train station, just a short walk away. The reception team was especially warm and helpful, and the staff were extremely kind overall. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location was awful. It seemed safe in the daytime, but after 10:00 PM there were people wandering around like zombies, women waiting for customers on the street, and terrible strip clubs. Don't go out alone at night. The breakfast was weak, with two kinds of cheese and some "domeros bla bla." The front desk staff were very poor at solving problems. I was in Zurich for work, and my company booked this budget hotel. After flying for hours from the airport, I got to my room and was shocked. I've been to over 30 countries but never seen a room or bed so small. The bed was literally like a crib. I called my company to ask them to change hotels or book a larger room here. I tried explaining my shock to the clerk, but their answers made me feel like an idiot. I took a shower while waiting for the new room. They did upgrade me, but charged a 20 CHF cleaning fee, which seemed odd when I went to check whether the room was ready. I had politely asked permission before showering, but the phone cord in the room was broken.

The location was handy, about a 12-minute walk to the city center, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly, and the hairdryer was very powerful. There were a few stains on the bed linen, though, and the bathroom smelled damp.

The reception staff were super nice, and the breakfast was pretty decent. The room was small, but had everything you need. I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised. The location is good too, near the central station, with plenty of restaurants in the area and a supermarket nearby.
