Really nice, clean, and impressive.

We only stayed because the meal came with pool access, and we really enjoyed the pool. The place has a prime ocean-view location and a wonderful pool, but the restaurant is extremely expensive. Each dish is around $20,000, whether it’s a small or large appetizer or a main. I don’t know who the chef is, but the food was just okay for that price. Service felt informal, and if you want a good, affordable meal, this definitely isn’t the spot.

The cabins have everything needed for a comfortable stay, and the location is superb, right by the beach and close to shops and cafes. Javier was especially attentive, always ready to help with anything needed at the pool to make guests comfortable. It’s NOT CHEAP, but it’s absolutely worth it. I hope to come back soon.

A complete waste of time, NOT RECOMMENDED. We went for after-dinner drinks and the older waitress was unpleasant. We waited a long time, and her lack of helpfulness was shameful. They tried to charge us for items that were never brought to the table, which was concerning enough that I checked the bill, something I never usually do. I hope the manager notices the team’s attitude before it drives customers away.

We went for lunch and waited 30 minutes before stopping a waitress to get served. The lomo saltado ($18,500) we ordered for a child didn’t fill him up. The rice was hard, the meat greasy and tough, and the dish was drenched in soy sauce. We also ordered the seafood platter, which we’d been told came with abalone, Ecuadorian shrimp, oysters, and French fries. What arrived was an inedible plate of frozen mixed seafood: mussels, tiny shrimp, and three oysters under cream sauce, with a few pieces of green chili pepper. It was so bad we didn’t eat it. It cost $28,500. I said it wasn’t what we’d been told, but we were hungry and had already waited over an hour, so we didn’t wait for it to be sent back to the kitchen. Someone came over to apologize. They reduced the price to 12,000, but the unpleasant experience was all we ate there. I couldn’t eat the food they brought, it was disgusting, so I ended up having a cheese sandwich at home. I recommend Mocai, a block down, which has a varied, delicious menu. It was full, so we didn’t go in, but I’m sure they would have served us faster and better.
