Cabañas & Cafe Lahuel

Nice place to stay.

This has to be one of the most comfortable, best-decorated cabins I’ve stayed in. It’s fully equipped, has pellet heating, and there’s plenty of parking. You can come and go without worrying about gates or having to move other cars. The café next door is run by the same owners, and it’s pretty good without being too expensive. The German guy who works there isn’t very friendly, which might suit people who don’t want to chat. The views and scenery are excellent for photos, with architecture, landscapes, a church, and a cemetery. It’s a great place to relax, though not if you’re looking for parties or nightlife.

There’s a café with homemade products just a few steps away, and the beach is very close too, though the cemetery is nearby as well. The cabins are comfortable, nicely decorated, and heated.

The cabin looked nice, but the service was the worst I’ve ever had. We arrived around 2:00 PM to a very dirty cabin, left our things, and went back out, planning to return once it was cleaned. The next day, we asked the owner if we could turn up the heat. He came in shouting, woke several people who were sleeping, and treated us very badly. He said it couldn’t be turned up because it was too hot, even though it had been raining and hailing outside for several days. He was dismissive and very hysterical, and kept shouting while inside the cabin. He also got upset because we moved some magazines to make room on the table, among other tantrums. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time. The coffee was expensive.
