The new owner is such a nice person, and we had a lovely time. There’s a perfect atmosphere and you get to meet lots of people. The owner stayed with us in the kitchen until the early hours, singing along to guitar music. The toilets were clean and the kitchen had nice equipment. The only thing is the old mattress could be replaced.

David, the new manager, is a great guy and treats you like a brother. The building is old, but clean, with hot showers, a well-equipped kitchen, and decent beds. The maid does an excellent job of keeping everything clean. It costs 10,000 pesos per night for a bed, and there are no private rooms. This is the best and cheapest hostel in town. Ignore the old reviews, since David is a new manager.

The owners and their son made us feel so welcome, with a really laid-back approach. The atmosphere is great, and people are always up for socializing. It’s definitely the place if you’re traveling alone or want to meet people and share stories over a beer.

David, the new owner of Backpackers Paradise, has been so kind and welcoming. I really recommend this hostel. It’s an old building, but renovations over the past year have made it very nice. I like cooking my own food as a backpacker, so the shared kitchen, fully stocked with spices, was a huge plus.

The location is handy, but I wouldn't come back. The rooms sit right beside the kitchen and common room, and there's no quiet-time management. People ran up and down the hall, singing and playing music until 2am. Fine if you're after a party, but I wouldn't recommend it if you need a good night's sleep.
