That hill up to the place could be tough for anyone with mobility issues, though we found it walkable to different parts of town, including the bus station. We stayed three nights in December 2023 and loved the balcony view, which we enjoyed more than once. The room was spacious, spotless, and really comfortable. Breakfast was good and varied, and our fantastic, friendly host went out of their way to fit our schedule. Of the four places we stayed on our recent trip to Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales, this was our favorite, maybe even our favorite of the past year. Highly recommended.

Evelyn seemed to live next door and was available if we needed anything. She even helped another group arrange Penguin Tours for the next day. We could check in early by coordinating ahead. Breakfast was filling, with sandwiches, sweets, cereal, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee, apples, bananas, and more. We stayed in November 2022, sharing a room with three twin beds between two people. It was clean and comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped since it was still light outside when we went to bed at 9:30 PM. The bathroom was clean too. The shower had both handheld and rain shower options. There was also a heated towel rack, I think, where we dried a small amount of hand-washed laundry overnight. I highly recommend this place.

We always felt safe, even though the neighborhood seemed a little up and coming. It's a fantastic small hostel, about a 10 minute walk from the city center, with exceptional hosts. It looks recently renovated and was clean. When they learned we had an early outing the next morning, the host made us breakfast to go the night before. A good pick if you're watching your budget and want a newly renovated place with great service.

There is no night reception, and if a flight delay or other problem means you arrive after 22:30, they won't check you in, leaving you without somewhere to sleep. This happened to us on our first night, 3 March 2024, and they didn't seem to care. We had booked through an online portal, but they still charged our card, so we were left without accommodation and without our money. Be careful, and choose a hotel that won't exploit you.
